Surrounded in the main by a protected Nature Reserve. It’s only five minutes walking distance from the Blue Flag beach of Portiragnes Plage.

Families with small children may be interested to know that they don’t even have to cross the road to get to the beach, simply walk along the path beside the Nature Reserve, passing by the Lagoon which then leads directly onto the beach.

We also have four bikes (2 adult, 2 children) which you can use, handy if you just want to nip down for some freshly baked croissants in the morning or just taking in the local area. We sometimes use them for getting to the beach as you can pop some stuff in the basket, like a towel or two and then there’s the toys.. . It’s even possible (for adults as it’s 10km) to cycle into Béziers along the scenic Canal du Midi.

There is a local restriction on building in Portiragnes Plage which means it has kept its charm and natural beauty, but still provides the essential amenities of a beachside village, making it an ideal location for a family holiday.
